WOODCRAFT
This group of long-time friends started out with roots in classical music, but spread their wings to discover all kinds of musical worlds. Since 2016 they have been combining styles like jazz, world, and contemporary music. They set out to make their classical instruments groove. With one of the members currently studying at the Sibelius Academy (Global Music), they are now coming to Finland to present their debut album: ‘Woodcraft’! In December 2022 they won the first prize at the Dutch Jazz Competition with their music. Over the years they have been performing at many venues and festivals in and outside of the Netherlands, such as the Edinburgh Fringe festival, Bimhuis and the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam. Come to the concert to experience a unique performance of this groovy string collective!

SOFT POWER
Soft Power is a Helsinki based sextet. The band's musical influences are in free expression and experimental rock. From the cinematic soundscape and modern jazz of the "Brink Of Extinction" album released in 2020 by the interesting Tallinn-based jazz record company RR Gems Records, the band has found a more straightforward and rougher sound on the upcoming album "Raw Bites". The band's music could be called psychedelic jazz or jazz-rock.
