Video Art Festival Turku (VAFT) järjestää tukinäytöksen maanantaina 14.3. klo 18 Bar Ö:ssä (Linnankatu 7) Ukrainan hyväksi.
Näytös koostuu VAFTissa 2016-2018 vierailleiden ukrainalaisten videotaiteilijoiden teoksista. Lipun hinnan voi valita seuraavista vaihtoehdoista: 5€, 10€ tai 20€. Näytöksestä kertyneet lipputulot maksetaan lyhentämättöminä SPR:n katastrofirahastoon.
Tilanne Ukrainassa on kriittinen, joten jokainen ostettu lippu on tärkeä!

Video Art Festival Turku (VAFT) arranges a solidarity screening in support of Ukraine on Monday, March 14th, at 6 pm at Bar Ö (Linnankatu 7).
The screening consists of works by Ukrainian artists featured in VAFT in 2016-2018. You can choose what you pay for the ticket, options are 5€, 10€ or 20€. The ticket proceeds will be paid in full to the Disaster Fund of the Finnish Red Cross.

The Russian army are bombing plans, streets, hospitals, the obvious civil districts of the big cities.

“Nyt nämä samat äänet kuuluvat suurimmassa osassa Ukrainan kaupunkeja ja kyliä. Eivätkä vain kuulu, vaan säännöllisten ilmapommitusten seuraukset ovat nyt myös nähtävissä.

“Nuori sukupolvi leikkii aseilla ja on herättämässä uudelleen henkiin sodan kulttuurin. Ajan myötä papatit muuttuvat kranaateiksi ja muovisotilaat oikeiksi. Sotilaat marssivat sotaan. Vanha yksinäinen mies aikoo seurata konfliktia uutisista. Aivoinfarktin jälkeen TV on ainoa tiedonlähde, jota hänen on enää mahdollista seurata. Nyt hän voi arvioida, onko veljeys todellakin ikuista.”
