VAFT 2023 Avajaisten jatkot

Video Art Festival Turku 2023 -tapahtuman avajaisten jatkoja vietetään torstaina 2. marraskuuta Bar Ö:ssä. Avajaisia juhlitaan rennoissa merkeissä, Oulu Music Video Festivalin kuratoiman musavideokattauksen säestämänä.
VAFT 2023:n teema on Avaruudet / Spaces, ja musiikkivideot jatkavat samaa teemaa. Musiikkivideokattauksessa tutkitaan tilanteita, joissa videotaide ja musiikkivideot kutoutuvat yhteen kokeilullisena kuvien verkostona. Läheisyyden ja etäisyyden vuorotellessa tehdään rajanylityksiä ja viedään tilaa. Musiikkivideonäytös alkaa klo 20, ja loppuillan viihdykkeestä vastaa DJ't VAFTboi & DJ Jean-Paul Belmont.
Festivaalin avajaisia vietetään Kino Dianassa (Humalistonkatu 3) klo 18-20. Festivaalin avaa Kaikkeus / Cosmos -niminen näytös. Tapahtumassa kuullaan myös VAFTin 2023 juryn, IC-98:n, avajaissanat.

VAFT 2023 Opening Afterparty

Video Art Festival Turku 2023 Opening afterparty will be held in Bar Ö on Thursday 2nd of November at 8 PM. Come to enjoy the cozy athmosphere and a curated selection of music videos, put together by the Oulu Music Video Festival.
VAFT 2023’s theme is “Spaces”, and the music videos will reflect the same theme. The music video selection will be exploring the space where video art and music videos are knottede together like a network of images, creating their own cosmos to experiment. Coming close and being distanced, crossing boundaries and taking space.
The music video screening starts at 20:00, and DJs VAFTboi & DJ Jean-Paul Belmont will entertain the rest of the evening.
The festival opening is held in Kino Diana (Humalistonkatu 2) at 6-8 PM. The opening features the screening Kaikkeus / Cosmos and an opening speech by VAFT 2023’s jury IC-98.
Free entry for both the opening and the opening afterparty. Welcome!
